eBay Purchases: Eyemazing and Innisfree

So lately I've been getting into buying cosmetic products off eBay. I hear so much about it from my friends that I decided to give it a shot. I've only ever bought clothing off eBay (You know, all that taobao stuff that's resold there) but I've never attempted to buy cosmetics because the risks of buying cosmetic products online is higher than that of clothing due to hygiene and authenticity.

After researching on legit sellers and checking feedback, I settled for sellers f2plus1 and rainbow-japan and I am really pleased with everything!

f2plus1 is the go-to seller for popular Korean cosmetic brands such as Etude House, Holika Holika, Skin Food and so on (Look at the 35000+ feedback will ya?) who not only sells for really good prices, but also offer wholesale and 2pc/3pc listings. Rainbow-Japan doesn't have as much feedback but all their feedback is from real customers (You can tell with the amount of detail in the reviews). As they are a much smaller group, they really take time to personalize all their orders.

I started out small, one product from both sellers.

From f2plus1, I purchased the Innisfree Skinny Waterproof Microcara and from rainbow-japan, I purchased the Eyemazing x Amoyamo eyelashes in Rockabilly. Both arrived in small parcel boxes.

Review: EOS Adult Brown from HoneyColor.com

A short review today of a pair of lenses I received a couple of weeks ago!

I bought the EOS New Adult Brown lenses from HoneyColor.com for my future Kuriyama Mirai (Kyoukai no Kanata) cosplay.

As you can see, Mirai's eyes are a light brown. I already own a pair of brown lenses (A3 Bambi, supposed to look like the Masuwaka Tsubasa produced ones) however it's too dark of a brown.

The Adult Brown lenses are perfect for this!

Link to the listing: http://www.honeycolor.com/eos-new-adult-brown.html

I placed my order on Honeycolor during a promotion period (Free shipping above $18 I believe it was). It was also my first ever purchase on Honeycolor. I have bought lenses from Pinkyparadise, Lensvillage and my friend's own batch order group, Cosqueen, on Facebook.

The lenses took a couple days to ship out and arrived about two weeks later, which is standard for regular shipping.

Honeycolor packages their products very well! It arrived in a small cardboard box, and inside was another small little box with the lens cases fitted to the side.

On the back of the box with the lenses, there are instructions on how to put on contacts. This is really useful for those who are purchasing circle lenses for the first time.

The lens vials are placed really neatly inside the box. Out of all the sites I have ordered from, Honeycolor wins in packaging!

So there were no troubles ordering from Honeycolor and I am more than pleased with the way everything was shipped! The only concern I would have is the lack of cushioning inside the parcel since the lenses are placed inside slots in the box.

Onto the lenses!

Specifications
BC:  8.6 mm
DIA:  14.0 mm
Water content:  38%

Colour & Pattern: A light, honey brown that shows up very well on my chocolate-brown eyes. In regards to my cosplay, I think it's a very suitable brown. The pattern is like a softer version of the EOS Dolly Eye series, which are incredibly opaque and solid coloured. It makes your eyes look slightly crystal-like and very delicate. I'm in love with the effect!

Size: These lenses are 14.0mm which are smaller than I am used to. All of my other lenses are either 14.2mm or 14.5mm so they aren't as enlarging as I would like (Especially for the cosplay of such a moe-looking character). On the other hand, it's more suitable for normal daytime wear if you want a more subtle but noticeable effect on your eyes.

Comfort: I have had no problems with discomfort with these lenses. The first day I wore them, I stayed out for about 10 hours. As with all lenses, they tend to dry out the longer you wear them, usually around the 6-7 hour point. Always keep eye drops that are contact-safe on you whenever you wear lenses!

All in all, I love these lenses and the effect it gives to my eyes. I have been trying to wear smaller lenses nowadays since I've been getting over the whole dolly-eye look, but I don't want to give it up completely either so I find these lenses a good compromise!

Catch up & Etude House Review

Long time no post! Forever neglecting this blog but not for long (I hope) since I have a nice camera now! I received a Canon EOS 600D the other day as a gift from my father because he thought it would be useful in my career. I love him so much(´・` )♡

I didn't have a nice camera before so it put me off from taking pictures often. I like my photos high quality and to be able to show true colour and detail, and with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, colour and detail is often not possible. With the addition of a DSLR, hopefully I can post more!

Speed catch up! I'm in Hong Kong at the moment (Leaving in a two days -sobs-). That means, cheap(er) Japanese and Korean cosmetics yayyy!

Cosmetics and lenses @ Laforet (Causeway Bay, HK)

I finally picked up some Etude House products since I have always wanted to try them out. Mong Kok has an Etude House store now (Along with a Skinfood and Holika Holika). The other Etude location I know of is in Causeway Bay near Sogo and Laforet.

What did I buy?
- Precious Minerals BB Cream Bright Fit in W13 Natural Beige
- Lovely Cookie Blusher in Raspberry Tart
- Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk in Thrilling Red

*For reference: my skin is combination (Oily T-zone, normal everywhere else with some slightly drier spots).

Finally, a post! Haul: Holika Holika, Real Technique, China Glaze, Circle Lenses

So I've made a couple posts here before but coming back to it a couple months later, I decided I wasn't satisfied with them. Therefore, I have decided to start anew and in the time I have spent neglecting this blog, I think I finally decided what this blog will be about.

Okay, kind of not really, but I generally will be talking about beauty (Yes, I will be an addition to the 19234820+ beauty blogs out there), music and interesting bits of my life. By interesting bits, I'm not talking daily life blog, but things like conventions, special events, interesting finds, good food and maybe some lolwut posts.

Finally, here is the first post to the blog! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧彡

To start off, I have a haul here and some small reviews on the haul items. I recently went to Pacific Mall to pick up contacts for myself and a friend and while I was there, I picked up some things from Holika Holika and Phoenix Beauty Lounge. I returned to Pmall today to grab a two more things, a China Glaze polish and a new pair of shoes!

Onto the items!
